每日习语
1. Are you big on pears?
你喜欢吃梨子吗？
big on为口语，意为“热心于”，“偏爱”。
2. Colin is absent in Shanghai.
科林去上海了，不在这里。
one + be absent in + 地点，意为“......去......了，不在此处”。
3.Before you could say Jack Robinson, my purse was stolen. 转眼间，我的钱包就被人偷走了。
before you could [can] say Jack Robinson是习语（副词短语），
意为“转眼间”、“突然”、“说是迟那时快”、“很快”。
4．That yacht is below the bridge.
那艘游艇在桥梁的下游。
本例的below（介词）意为“在……的下游”。
若改成“That yacht is under the bridge”，才是“那艘游艇在桥梁的下面”。
5．Don't see blue films.
不要看黄色电影。
blue film [movie]是“黄色电影”或“色情电影”之意，
它与sexploiter，erotic film等同义。
应注意，yellow film [movie]是chinglish，不要使用。
