In the Moscow world trade center, when the former chairman of the International Olympic Committee, Samarch declared: “Beijing, china!” At that moment, All Chinese embraced with each other and cheered for the unforgettable and historic moment! I jumped, shouted and cried with delight tears. We all had a great joy for our country form the bottom of our heart! 
  
  
I remember one hot summer afternoon many years ago, I saw my parents sitting before a small black and white TV set, fixing their eyes on a proceeding volleyball watch. Sometimes they shouted delightedly, and sometimes signed disappointedly. What was going on? It must have been something very special, I thought. “It was the Olympic Games.”, My parents told me. But how can a single sports meeting be so charming and attractive? I was too young to understand.Years a later it was my turn to sit before the TV, watching each game with devoted excited, I came to realize why my parents had been so much stirred up. 
  
  
With thousands of sports players, regardless of their races and nationalities, gathering together, running, jumping, dashing, the Olympic exhibits fully its spirits: swifter, higher and stronger. However, I felt it was not simply the athletic competition, the emotional excitement, the spectacular enjoyment, but there must be something more, something deeper, behind it and beyond it.The running cities of the Olympics are fortunate, for the Games bestowed on them pride and offered them golden opportunities to show the world themselves and their splendid culture. To me, Beijing doesn’t not only hold a sports meeting, but also catch chance to display herself and her cultured essence to the whole world.The 2008 Olympic Games will be a grand occasion for the perfect combination of the Olympic spirit and Chinese culture. I always imagine, in the antique city of Beijing, alongside with the Forbidden City, the Great Wall and the Summer Palace, stands a beautiful, Chinese-style city. In the years of 2008, it will be the time for China to unveil the mystery of its splendid and superb ancient civilization; it will be the time for China to demonstrate to the world the demeanor of its dramatic and dynamic new image. In the year of 2008, it will be the place where sports and culture join, where history and fashion meet, where the east and the west shake hands under the five rings of the Olympics. 
  
  
Let us look forward to the day when the Olympic flame burning brightly in the sky of China.
