The story goes that the casting director of Fitoor, was on a look out for a boy and a girl aged between 11-13 years to play young Aditya Roy Kapur and Katrina Kaif. While, the boy has been finalised, search for a girl with Scandinavian features who could play young Katrina proved futile in India.
Hence, the makers have decided to conduct auditions for the girl worldwide.
Casting director Mukesh Chhabra confirmed the reports of world wide audition for Katrina*s younger self. He in fact, said that even the boy who will play a young Aditya Roy Kapur is also still to be finalised.
Fitoor, directed by Abhishek Kapoor is an adaptation of Charles Dickens* classic novel Great Expectations. It will be shot in Kashmir, Delhi and other international locations.

The leggy lass had to choose finishing Bang Bang patchwork over a vacation with her beau Ranbir Kapoor
Katrina Kaif was planning on spending some quality time with Ranbir Kapoor before staring work on her next film with him. She had recently wrapped up her Bang Bangschedule opposite Hrithik Roshan and the break would have been perfect for some rejuvenation.
But poor Kat had to let go of her plans as the makers of Bang Bang rescheduled the film’s patchwork sessions a little earlier than Kat expected. As those dates clashed with her holiday plans, the actor was in quite a pickle. But being a true professional Kat decided to wrap up her Bang Bang commitments before taking her much-needed break.
We feel for you Kat but we applaud your work ethic. hope you get to enjoy your break from all the hectic shoot schedules soon!
