《使命召唤4：现代战争》总共入围了10个奖项，包含「总体年度最佳游戏」（Overall Game of the Year）、「年度最佳游乐器游戏」（Console Game of the Year）、「年度最佳计算机游戏」（Computer Game of the Year）、「年度最佳动作游戏」（Action Game of the Year）、「动画杰出成就奖」（Outstanding Achievement in Animation）、「艺术指导杰出成就奖」（Outstanding Achievement in Art Direction）、「游戏设计杰出成就奖」（Outstanding Achievement in Game Design）、「联机对战杰出成就奖」（Outstanding Achievement in Online Gameplay）、「音效设计杰出成就奖」（Outstanding Achievement in Sound Design）、「视觉工程杰出成就奖」（Outstanding Achievement in Visual Engineering）...等，颁奖典礼将于美国时间2月7日，在位于拉斯韦加斯的「Red Rock Resort」渡假饭店内举行。
由于各方成绩亮眼，《使命召唤4：现代战争》设计公司Infinity Ward深感荣幸，不过盗版问题显然也相当严重，经过他们对联机对战玩家的统计，使用盗版软件及盗版序号的玩家数量多得令人震惊，许多游戏开发公司也对这项事实感到悲痛。
