old Chinese young man who makes his way onto the stage in South Korea. His name is Han Geng. His attractiveness lies not only in his charming appearance and amazing performance, but also in his endeavors, perseverance, optimistic attitude, and love for his own nation. He was selected to be a trainee in a South Korean corporation named S.M. Entertainment in 2001. Before that, he had been a student in China Central National University, majoring in Chinese traditional dance. Since being a singer was his life dream, Han stepped onto the ground of South Korea, where Chinese people were somewhat rejected and looked down upon by the local. At that time, Han didn’t know a single Korean word nor did he have a friend; he was a total stranger to that country. However, Han has overcome all such difficulties as racial discrimination and language, and became a member of Super Junior, a singing group consists of 13 members, of which Han was the only Chinese among 12 Koreans. However, things didn’t go well as expected. Due to the nationality-protecting policy in South Korea, Han had to wear a mask when giving public performances during some period of time, which was an unbearable shame and panic for a singer. But Han never gave up, nor did he shrink away. He carried on with remarkable perseverance and positive attitude. Han eventually managed to impress the fans with his eye-attracting appearance and breathe-catching dance
