David Dhawan and Salman Khan have had many highs at the box office with movies like Biwi No.1, Judwaa and Mujhse Shaadi Karogi. On the personal front too, Salman shares a great bond with the Dhawans – David and his sons Rohit and Varun. And though Salman hasn't played Godfather to Varun, who made his debut with Student of the Year, he will be the voice guiding the young actor in Main Tera Hero.
Main Tera Hero is David's first movie with beta Varun. And instead of opting for the usual special-appearance formula, David got Salman to do voice overs at various points in the film. Salman, who has often done special appearances in his friends' movies obliged again. So while watching the film if the voices of Ganpati, Krishna and Jesus Christ sound familiar, you know who's doing the talking.

Salman Khan continues to have busy days ahead. He’s caught up with wrapping up the shoot of Kick in time for an Eid release while another film, Dr Cabbie, under his banner, Salman Khan Being Human Productions, is readying for release. The first look of this international project is all set to be unveiled soon.
“The film features Vinay Virmani in the title role. Vinay’s performance was much appreciated in Bejoy Nambiar’s David. Dr Cabbie is about this youngster from India who gains a medical degree only to find himself riding a cab in Canada. It is a light hearted-film with dramatic elements to it,” informs a source.
Salman, who was impressed by the film’s strong theme, wanted to present and produce it. “The Jean-Francois Poulliot directed film doesn’t take an overtly serious tone. Featuring Adrianne Palicki, Kunal Nayyar and Lillete Dubey in principle roles, the film is also the launch pad of Isabelle, who is Katrina’s sister.
Currently, the makers are aiming for an international release in September this year,” adds the source.

Salman Khan launches Being Filmy

Actor Salman Khan has announced the launch of a new, non-profit based production house named Being Filmy, which follows the name of his charitable organisation, Being Human. Since the actor is very keen on taking his charitable causes a notch above, he decided to give this idea a push. “I think small films have great content and they deserve to be given a decent platform. To support this cause, I have decided to produce films under my banner, Being Filmy. These films will be small, but instead of concentrating on profit, we will aim at giving it a proper release,” stated Khan. The first film from this stable, which is yet untitled, is slated to go on the floors by June-July and should hit the screens by end of this year. The most interesting part about the ventures that he plans to produce is that after subtracting the taxes and costs, the entire profit will be donated to charitable causes. “It will be like providing entertainment with tons of positivity surrounding it,” added Khan.

The superstar has been quietly growing vegetables and fruits at his Panvel farmhouse.
Mirror recently reported how Salman Khan is off alcohol and cigarettes for the past three years (March 29, 2014). Now, it seems that the star has taken another step towards healthy living.
A regular at Salman's Panvel retreat informed us how impressed he was after getting a tour of the farm. Revealed the source, "Salman has been growing potatoes, tomatoes and pumpkins without using any kind of artificial fertilizers. He proudly feeds his guests dishes cooked with the vegetables grown in his kitchen garden."
The star has turned to gardening as he believes that the vegetables in the market today are laced with chemicals and can trigger serious health problems. Healthy eating is the way to a healthy lifestyle, according to the new and improved Salman Khan.
But if you are thinking that the actor intends to make a quick buck out of his fresh produce, then you are mistaken. The veggies are strictly for domestic use.
"Much of what he grows is consumed at his Bandra home and in the farmhouse, with the surplus going to guests and other close friends," the source said.
When contacted, Salman's father, Salim Khan confirmed the news. He said, "I've never seen Salman so passionate about anything. He's really given his heart and soul to the farm," while adding, "He loves spending time there, being at one with nature. And yes, we have no plans to sell the output commercially. It's just an initiative towards a healthy life."
