在和穆雷分道扬镳后，吉尔伯特还将继续留在全英草地协会（LTA）工作。
这位美国教练与LTA签署了3年的工作合同，合同中的主要工作是与英国头号男单穆雷合作，在他们结束了师徒关系后，LTA和吉尔伯特重新谈判了工作安排。
“由于他不再与穆雷合作，我们将在他的合约中删除八个月，将工作周数从40减少到20。”LTA 首席执行官德雷珀（Roger Draper）在周日向BBC透露。
“我们为他安排的新任务是执教目前排名161的博格丹诺维奇（Alex Bogdanovic），将其培养成前100名的选手。接下来的15到16周他将与博格丹诺维奇合作。”
“我们也希望他能指导其他的教练以及一些运动员，激励下一代的选手跟随穆雷的脚步。”
德雷珀表示对吉尔伯特不会有任何经济上的赔偿，而后者表示，能继续留在LTA执教，比起退休在家或是在其他什么地方当教练，又或者从事媒体工作，已是非常令人高兴的了。
德雷珀同时表示对吉尔伯特选择继续留在英国感到高兴，“我想我们过分关心比赛输赢了，吉尔伯特为英国网球带来了很多东西，他还会继续做下去。这对于英国网球是非常好的消息。”
德雷珀认为吉尔伯特和穆雷的分手很大程度上是由于场外的因素。“我想他们只是不能再继续。”
20岁的穆雷和46岁的吉尔伯特，在网球生活中的合作已经不再令双方感到愉快。

"We have reduced the financial burden. There is no compensation - absolutely. The compensation we have given him is freeing up his time.
"He wanted to free up some of his time to work in the media [and] he might have a fantastic offer on the table from another federation.
"I think it is win-win for all concerned. The main thing was to keep the positive relationships. He brings a lot of knowledge to British tennis and we want to continue that.
"It is a great deal for Brad and British tennis."
One of Gilbert's new areas of focus will be with British number two Alex Bogdanovic, currently ranked 161st in the world.
"We have set him a new challenge of getting Alex into the top 100 and also 'upskilling' our coaches and inspiring the next generation to follow in Andy's footsteps," Draper added on Radio 5 Live's Sportsweek programme.
"He will largely be based on tour with Alex, travelling around with him and his first training camp is the first week in December."
Draper felt Murray's split with Gilbert was more to do with issues off the court than on it but was confident the Scot was now well-placed to continue his rise up the rankings.
