I'm Russian and I'll try to explain the drinking problem. There is an ideology in that Russians are adopted to drinking and can consume any thing with out consequences to their health. I'm not sure, but there are a lot of evidence to believe that USSR government started this ideology, to make some profits from alcohol taxes. As a result Russians are strong believers that they can consume infinite amount of alcohol, but they in fact miss that many of their comrades die while driving, in drunk fights, in jails and from health effects.
我是俄罗斯人，试着解释一下饮酒问题。有一直观点认为俄罗斯人是喝酒长大的，并且能够不顾自己的身体喝下任何酒。我不确定，但有证据显示是苏维埃共和国开启了这种意识形态，从酒精税中获利。结果俄罗斯人就坚定认为自己能够喝下无数的酒，但事实上很多同志都因为喝酒后开车打仗或在监狱中因为身体缘故死亡了

Interestingly, Russia has a very big difference in life expectancy between men and women: 9-12 years according to Wiki pedia. It's only about 5 years in the U S. So, it's M E N S' life expectancy that is a big problem specifically. And even though this study is flawed, alcohol is definitely a major factor. How about addressing that instead of gay propaganda?

Russia needs to come up with a way to raise it s population's quality of life, increase it s population. They should also start allowing more immigrants into their country. Russia is fucking huge but it's sitting nearly empty and useless.
