Good answer, I would say.Chinese are not unconquerable( Hope the word is all right with you), the Han Chinese (about 90 percent of the total population) as you have pointerd out, had been conquered by the Mongolians and the Manchus before for a few hundred years, then the Europeans came, they used very small army to almost conquer China, then the little Japanese came and almost conquered China. China is actually very vulnerable.
