I don’t really know exactly what happened, but I’ll tell you what, one day I woke up and I had a bunch of congratulatory emails in my inbox and I woke up to find out I was working with Ridley, because it was already in the trades.”
9:20 – Says they start shooting Exodus soon. “Very soon, like in a couple of weeks. We’re at Pinewood Studios for a little while, and then we go to Spain, and then we go to Canary Islands or Morocco.”I

Inked-up thesps need not apply for a job on star-studded Exodus
Legenedary British film director Sir Ridley Scott has just begun casting for his latest blockbuster on a sunshine holiday island, but with one demand: no tattoos! 传奇导演雷德利斯科特爵士正在为大制作出埃及记招演员，唯一要求是“没有纹身”。
The Hollywood filmmaker – whose iconic movies include Gladiator, Bladerunner, Alien and American Gangster – is currently assembling a star-studded cast for Exodus, which will be on the life of Moses.
But any potential actors who have large tattoos are banned.
So far, Scott has chosen Christian Bale for the lead role of Moses, with Sigourney Weaver (playing Tuya, mother of Egyptian Pharoah Ramses II), John Turturro (as Tuya's hus，band Pharoah Seti), Ben Kingsley (as Aaron) Joel Edgerton (as Ramses II) and Aaron Paul (as Joshua) also getting significant parts in the Biblical epic.

But 75-year-old director Scott also wants local people from the Canary Islands, where filming will commence, to take on roles too.
Casting on Monday in the coastal town of Corralejo on Fuerteventura, where the crew are looking for children and young people up to 17 years old to take part.
There are also adult roles, from 18 to 64 – with Scott wanting people with Arab, African or European characteristics, who are slim and athletic.
But a poster to recruit would-be stars has specifically stated in Spanish that anyone with large tattoos on arms and legs is NOT required.
Children who are chosen for roles as extras will be paid around £60 a day and adults £80.
Scott, who is known for his meticulous research, is probably bearing in mind the Old Testament law, which commanded the Israelites: "Do not cut off your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves", as stated in the Bible's book of Leviticus.
