Coach Roberto Mancini has asked President Massimo Moratti to sign Deco from Barcelona, and according to the latest speculation coming from Italy, the player's agent has already made contact with Inter's directors.
The Italian champions are ready to pay 12 million Euros in order to obtain the services of the Portuguese star and the Blaugrana could be inclined in letting him go.
The main worry for Inter is that also Newcastle are in the run for Deco and this could lead to an auction for the midfielder. The Magpies have apparently offered in part exchange former Inter player Emre and a substantial amount in cash.
Now it's up to the Spanish giants to decide whether to let the player go to Inter or Newcastle, or maybe even remain in the Catalan city as a substitute for the first team.
