# The Reflected Truth (Ch.3)
## Ch.3 Auton Attack
"A reflection? so you are saying that these are all the events from your past?" Slightly surprised, Everlyn asked.
"Well, what you've seen is only from London. There's much more."
"But how did we get here? I mean, we are not from the locales. We were in bloody Manchester!"
"I would believe it was something to do with that mirror, " Charlie answered her.
"What mirror..." Dr. Smith started his sentence, but was interrupted by some very weird looking men looking at them.
*Wait, are those mannequins?* Everlyn couldn't believe what she had saw, "what... what are those...?"
"They would appear to be mannequins from the shop..."

"Yeah, but why are they moving? And why are they looking at us strangely?"
"Well, it's because they are not real mannequins! " Dr. Smith had a weird grin on his face, "they are autons."
"THEY ARE WHAT?!!! " looking at the approaching mannequin-things, all that Everlyn knew to do was to scream.
"Don't worry!!! I've got the situation under control!! " Dr. Smith pulled out a silver screwdriver and pointed it at the autons.
"I THOUGHT YOU HAD A GUN!!"
"I don't think guns can kill plastic, big sister!"
"Good point, Cherry! - Can I call you Cherry? ("Afraid not, Dr. Smith!") Okay! Now, I'll just have to find the right frequency... there!"
"EXCUSE ME BUT WHAT THE HELL ARR YOU DOING?!!"
"This!!"
With a flick of the switch and a pretty green LED on the top that lit up, the screwdriver made a very annoying noise. There was an explosion of sparks, then the autons just stopped. All at once. Like they were just ordinary mannequins that just happened to be in a forest.

Coming back from the shock of the explosion, the Clarks were very surprised at what they saw.
"... what did you do...?"
"Oh nothing much, actuallly. Blocked off the signal from their controllers. Without the signal, the autons cannot move. It's just like cutting the electric signal from your brain to the rest of your body. I doubt if you can move after that."
"But if I may ask, what is that little device that you used?"
"It's a sonic screwdriver."
"A what?"
"A sonic screwdriver."
"A WHAT?!!"
"It's a screwdriver! And it's sonic! Gosh,WHAT DO THEY TEACH YOU IN SCHOOL NOWDAYS?!"
"I believe we haven't got that far yet. I'm not even sure if sonic tech this high level has even been invented..."
"When are you even from?!! How can you not know about sonic technology?!"
"Well, I s'ppose it's not a question that I get everyday, but we are from 2013, Dr. Smith."

"Okay, sorry, I didn't know... you didn't even have quardrocycles back then... " said Dr. Smith, they he seemed to have remembered something, "that's when I met the proper Clara..."
"Quardrocycles?!!"
"Clara, is it the girl's name? The impossible girl that you told us about?" Charlie asked.
"Yes... but that's not the problem right now! " Dr. Smith got out from his bitter memories and jumped up, "okay! There are monsters chasing you, but why? Why are you the ones that are targeted?"
"Well, because we are different? " Eva guessed.
"Every single person is different, so that's not helping... but wait!"
He took both the twins' right hand and had a look, then he ran to the corpses of the giant eagles and the autons and also had a good look. And just when the Clarks thought that he was a bit mad, he jumped up and yelled, "oh, that's brilliant!!! - wait, that's what my last body used to say - ... - THAT'S SO COOL!"
"Dr. Smith, what is? " Eva leaned over and asked.

"Look. Theit left arms slash wings. All had a same cut on it. And - " he pull out the Clarks' hands and compared - "you too, have the same marks!"
"But theirs are on the left and ours are on the right, " Charlie pointed out.
"Yes, dear, and that's the reason they are attacking you young little bright things, " Dr. Smith stood up and said, "hostility!!! All because you are different. I guess they are pretty similar to you lot in this way..."
That got Eva's attention, "what do you mean, us lot? Do you mean us humans?"
"Yep."
"So you are not human then."
"Nope."
And that got Everlyn a bit tumbled, "so I am talking to an alien then? You, Dr. John Smith is an alien?!!"

"Time Lord and proud. And, please, I am a bit tired of the 'Dr. John Smith' thingy now. You look like people I could trust - well you are not going anywhere - so here's a proper introduction, " he raised his hand to the Clarks, "I am the Doctor, from the planet of Gallifrey in the constellation of Kasterborous. I am a Time Lord. Nice to meet you, humans."
The Clarks both took his hand and shook it, but then neither of them was very sane after hearing the 'proper' introduction that the Time Lord gave and took a while to come back to their senses.
"But Doctor, I've got a question, " Eva asked, still a bit shocked but almost recovered, "why us? Why were the two of us brought here?"
"Good question, let's find out the reason then, " the Doctor turned and stripped his clothes away.

Charlie wasn't sure if he'd look or not, but he was surprised that there's another layer of clothing underneath: the Doctor was now wearing a purple tweed coat with a white shirt and a black vest under, a pair of black pants and boots, and, most importantly (surprisingly), a bowtie.
"Nice bowtie, " Everlyn was fighting her every impulse not to crack up.
"Really? It's hard to find a person who appreciated bowties these days. The last time a person complemented..."
"Doctor... " Charlie couldn't stand and watch.

"...a man in the gallery..."
"...Doctor, I think that was sarcasm..."
"Nice guess, Charlie."
"...... " the Doctor stared at Eva with sadness. Is that anger, too?
"I think his eyes are spilling out fire..." Eva turned to Charlie and whispered.
"Those eyes are perfectly fine. Also, I don't think fire could be spilt, it is not a fluid, or even a substance..."
"Just... do me a favor and shut up."
"......"
"So where are we going? "
"We are going to the biggest library in the universe."
