就是加黑的三句话。第一句，我只知道要说我在一家玩具公司上班：i work for a toy company.我不知道这里female partner 做何解。是女性部门的意思么？第二句我猜意思是：公司仅有的几位女性上司中的一员。但是不确定，这里还是对female partner 不太确定。第三句我猜测翻译过来应该是：凯利开始听说一些她没被邀请的但是她感觉她其实应当参加的会议。但是我不知道meetings 后面为什么要加to

之前有朋友提到《小屁孩日记》，也正是我向大家推荐过的。
网上正好有几段试读图文，干脆借来与大家分享一二，如果读得有味，建议不妨去弄一本来通读一番。

Diary of a Wimpy Kid是一本日记体小说，也大致算是漫画小说吧，因为虽然文字部分不少，但漫画仍是其故事情节不可或缺的一部分。小说以一个初中生的口吻和视角写就，语言非常口语化，且风趣搞笑。
对于英语学习者而言，阅读这本小说能够让你窥见一些美国中学生的校园家庭生存状态，学习生动的口语表达，甚至找到一些写日记的灵感启发。
不过要注意的是，其口语化的语言并不太实用于我们常规的为满足应试或工作需要的书面表达。

另外，因为我对美国中学校园的背景知识相对匮乏，所以可能有一些内容自己的理解也并不透彻。如果有什么内容解释不清楚，还请见谅！

First ofall , I want to get something straight: this is a JOURNAL, not a dairy. I knowwhat it says on the cover but when Mom went out to buy this thing ISPECIFICALLY said to make sure it didn’t say “diary” on it. So don’t expect meto be all “ dear diary this ” and “ dear diary that ” .
All I needis for some jerk to catch me carrying this thing around and get the wrong idea.

The other thing I want to clear up right away is how this was NOT my idea, it was Mom’s. The deal is that if I write in this book a little bit each day I get out of one chore on Saturdays, so of course I picked the one I hate most. But if Rodrick ever finds out he’s scrubbing toilets because of this book, I’m dead.
Oh yeah Rodrick’s my brother. I try to avoid him anyway but now that I struck this deal with Mom, I better be extra careful.
Anyway I think Mom has this idea I’m going to write down my “ feelings” and all that, but she’s not actually allowed to read it so I figure I’ll just write what I want .
The real reason I agreed to do this at all is because I figure later on when I’m rich and famous I’ll have better things to do than answer people’s stupid questions all day long.
