“Personal information” means any information provided in a format classified to enable identification from other users, and is provided in a format in which individual users cannot be identified and a user cannot communicate with another user who has not given consent. This information may be used to improve the Company’s products and online sites, research internal marketing, or simply collect statistical information on the Company’s users.
“Personally-identifiable information” consists of "a user’s name, e-mail address, ID, password, date of birth, image, actual address, software and hardware characteristics, or any other data of the user by which the receiver of such data can individually identify the user.” “Personally-identifiable information” can be changed depending on specific products or sites.
“Cookie” means any information allowed to be transmitted from your terminal for the purpose of information management. Cookie stored in a computer or terminal means any information that can be used to "remember" user-registered passwords, etc. Cookies generally accelerate user’s browsing speed, saving time in sending information such as user’s passwords or registrations. The Company may use user information-searching cookies for security purposes in promotion and marketing.
“Internet protocol (IP) address” means the number assigned to any server or Internet service provider (ISP). The Company may track such IP address for the management of the system. This encompasses the collecting of information, tracking of sites, maintaining of security, and preventing of abuse of servers.
To provide better services to users, the Company may collect access logs and certification dates, payment records, game versions, telecommunications service provider information, and terminal information (model names, available memories and file sizes, OS versions, serial numbers and IDs of devices or IMEI, etc.). To prevent repetition of illegal use violating relevant laws or the Company’s Terms of Use, the Company may collect user status data, visit dates and times, service use records (related to failure), bad use records, etc.
The following services are provided by collecting location data and status data of “location-based service (hereafter referred to as LBS).”
1) Confirmation of real-time location of the object of location data collection (address is shown to other customers up to “city” level)
2) Provision of customer’s national and regional (within a 10 km radius) game ranking based on location data
3) By collecting status data (weather, etc.) of the object of location data collection, the same weather status is applied in JC Entertainment’s mobile social network game "Rule the Sky" (effect in the game varies depending on the weather).
4. Sharing of collected personal information
The Company uses users’ personal information within the scope notified in the Policy, and does not use or, in principle, disclose user’s personal information in excess of such scope without the user’s prior consent. This does not apply in the following cases.
