Nel Buio

Siedi qui, vicino a me, 
parlami del cielo, dei tuoi viaggi e poi di poesia. 
Dimmi prima che tutto svanisca, 
esiste l'infinito nel buio.

"Sit down here, near to me, 
talk me about the sky, your travels and about poetry. 
Tell me before everything vanishes, 
infinity exists in the darkness."

The Cliff of Suicide

When everything is bathed in colour 
And a blinding golden path 
Shines from the sky onto the sea, 
To the white shingle beach which is below you, 
Blood stains stand out every so often: red poppies.

In your deep tomb, receive the young corpses 
Of those who are tired of living, those who can't find consolation 
In the marvel of your sunsets.

Wings flutter among the ears of wheat 
Like the wind which ripples the sea 
And vertically over it 
There's the cliff of suicide 
On the water more blue than the sky.

Cosmic Harmony

A gentle throb, a warm breath, 
The consciousness of travelling, 
Of the mysterious end 
Distinguish us from cold shadows.

Mute voices in the universe, 
So different, so anonymous. 
Creators in the arts: 
Orphic, evocative spell.

It's cosmic harmony which gets lost 
Into the infinite emptiness.

Under the Dock Leaves

You slide across the branches, 
Your glitter is fertile pollen, 
You're shadows in the shape of leaves. 
A wind that ripples the crest of waves against the current, 
You caress the rivers but you are the springs.

Your eyes: buds which are moistened by the dew, 
Beyond webs of obscurity. 

The branches swing you 
Then you glide on your transparent wings.

The Land Beyond

From the rugged mountains, 
Down to the valley, 
Amongst the fresh clouds 
Which cross my body, 
The wind doesn't let me breathe 
And I dream of dying. 

Everyday I want to enjoy 
That sensation of mystery 
Which I perceive sometimes, 
So strongly, 
It swells my heart, 
Forgetting that there's no going back. 

Delicious dream erases my fear 
Of the end which is coming.
