The musical within the show,Bombshell, revolves around the life and death of the iconic movie star, who passed away on August 5, 1962 after a Barbiturate overdose.
Smash will be returning to NBC for its second season next year along with special guest stars Jennifer Hudsonand Jeremy Jordan!
