Charmingly modest,the 31-year-old Brit actor has certainly proven hes versatility this year.He played the delightfully cunning God of Mischief,loki,in blockbuster Thor,and got the critics raving in post-war love story The Deep Blue Sea. He's also worked with two legendary directors in the past year:Woody Allen for Midnight in Paris and Steven Sipelberg for War Horse.That had to be every actor's dream?"You have to try very,very hard not to competely lose your shit and become a crazy fan boy.And also not be scared in their company because what they want is your contribution as an actor,and if you're nervous,that's the last thing you're going to give them.I found them both so gloriously passionate still.To have done all they've done,and they still have the passion for making films and finding new stories to tell.I find it so inspiring."

Reprising his role as Loki in Marvel Avengers Assemble was also a personal highlight."The devil plays all the best tunes.Playing a superhero bad guy is just pure escapism as an actor there's just so much freedom. The bad guy is always compelely free of moral censure-I hope I don't twirl my moustache too much!It was enormous fun."

And the cast's downtime was just enjoyable."It was a riot.Tequila was consumed.Shapes were thrown on the dancefloor,"he says.But it was Ms Johansson,who plays Black Widow in the hit film,who could party the hardest:"Scarlett is one of the coolest people I know,"says Tom."She wasalways having house parties,she's really fun."
So what's next for the actor?"A Vampire movie!It's called Only Lovers Left Alive with Tilda Swinton.It's alove story,really.The twist isthat they just happen to be vampires."R-Patz,you'd better watch out.
