On the other hand, what should Welker be thinking about Tom Brady and Gisele in light of those comments?
You know, Tom's two main gaffes in the game—the safety he took on the Patriots' first drive and the pass he underthrew to Rob Gronkowski deep down the field that was intercepted by Chase Blackburn—were the difference in the loss and were plays thatEli Manning avoided making.
And why does anyone give two craps about Gisele's assessment of this game? She's a freaking supermodel, for heaven's sake. Her postgame analysis is about as valuable asTim Tebow appearing on "Jon Gruden's QB Camp" and critiquing the throwing motions of young quarterbacks.
If my model wife (Miss Hooters International, baby!) Anna Burns said anything negative about Tom Brady, she'd be be burned at the stake like a witch in Salem. I'm pretty sure this is a double standard or something.
I mean, of course she is going to defend her man. Especially in the face of obnoxious Giants fans, which is probably a redundant use of an adjective, because all Giants fans are obnoxious, namely after a win.
But did she have to do it at the expense of the wide receivers and tight ends?
Do you think she would appreciate Tom showing up to a Victoria's Secret shoot and responding to fans heckling him about his wife's performance on the runway?
"Hey, you guys, she can't make and wear the lingerie at the same time, okay? She can't walk on and make the runway at the same time, okay? She hasn't quite mastered Magnum yet, okay? So back the eff off!"
I don't think she would appreciate that. I'm not sure how many obnoxious football fans attend fashion shows, but boy oh boy, that would be hilarious!
I'm with Wes on this one.
