The people I admire
Hello everyone, my name is Liu Yujiao,I am a student from geography. Today I want to tell something about the person I admire very much ----Leslie Cheung.
Leslie is a great artist. He is very successed in being a actor in his films and a singer singing songs. He is a great actor and he is praised as an actor writer. That is meaning he can give the role he played a new life ,for example ,the person he has played in the film <Happy Together>,that role is a person who is very rebarbative ,but when we see the film, most of us don’t think about that because he did his best to make the role glamorous.
Leslie has played a majority of good films, I think the most famous is <Farewell to my concubine>, this film has got the best film prize in Gala Film Exhibition in 1993 and it is the first film got such a great prize. But the first film I seed of his is < A Chinese Ghost Story>when I was a little girl. I like that film but I don’t know that role is played by him. When I went to college I see the film<Farewell to my concubine>, I was amazed, why a man can play a role like this and play so good that make some people think that role is himself and this feel go with him in all his life. Many people always use the sentence “Life is like a drama,as drama like life” to describe him. I was moved by the story and I can’t forget the emotion showed in his eyes. I think the film is a great film and the actor is a glamorous person.
He is also a great singer; he singed a lot of classical songs. Such as<science is golden>.<red>these songs is also wrote by himself, he has written many beautiful songs and got the best film song prize in Golden Horse Prize in Taiwan. There are also beautiful songs like <left and right hand><I am what I am>and so on, <Monica> has become a song of life background of many people in Hong Kong. His songs are always emotional because he used his emotion to sing the songs. And he said when he sing a song he always think a story about the song, so when he sing the song he do his best to act as the person in the story he has thought. He got many prizes in his music but he didn’t want to take part in the struggle of music prize, he just do what he think is right and makes all his effort to write more good songs. Leslie is a singer who always changes his stage feel even though some of his fans can’t access his new feel. But he said he can’t stay in one place he should make new shows to all of the people. He is innovative and always do something that there wasn’t someone has done. So he is beyond his era.
He is a super star but he is very easy to approach, and he always helps others including the person who is just a stranger. All of his friends think highly of him. Leslie is a brave and tough man; he didn’t give up his dream and work very hard during the seven years when he can’t see his hope. He always take care of others and never be late when he worked, he is person who give all of his heart to make friends and he values his friends as a very important part of his life. He is a so perfect person that I love him so much. He taught me so much, being brave, warm hearted, work hard and do what we think right. He said: “we should do an overt person “. it is him who teaches me being a brave girl, it is him who gives me the hope when I was sad, it is him who teaches me treat my friends better, it is him who gives me so much feel of films and songs. Thank Leslie for coming to this world to tell me we can become such a perfect person.
