Li Bingbing to receive CineAsia award
Chinese actress LI Bingbing is to be honoured as Female Star of the Year at the CineAsia convention in Hong Kong next month.
She recently starred in Detective Dee and the Mystery of the Phantom Flame and Snow Flower and the Secret Fan, having previously headlined in The KnotThe Message and The Forbidden Kingdom.
"Bingbing is a wonderful actress who has delighted movie-goers not only in Asia, but internationally as well," said Robert H. Sunshine, managing director of the annual convention.
The award will be presented as part of the gala final night banquet and awards ceremony on Thursday, 8 Dec 2011 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Hong Kong.
