I’d like to introduce Chinese traditional lanterns.
When I was little, I first saw red lanterns during the Spring Festival. My grandma hung them under the roof, and the festival became so lively.
Now lanterns can be seen on many festivals. On the Lantern Festival, all kinds of lanterns line the streets. People enjoy watching lanterns and guessing riddles. Many lanterns are hand‑made with beautiful paintings.
Lanterns carry Chinese people’s wishes for happiness. They link our past with the present. When we see red lanterns, we can feel the warm festival atmosphere. I think young people should learn more about our culture and pass it on.
