【Chicken War】

So, just to clear things up, this comic in no way is trying to "humanize" Heinrich Himmler. All it is is a silly idea I got in my head after watching a one-hour program on Himmler on History International. There was a report of Himmler becoming physically ill after witnessing an execution, and I heard he didn't do too well as a chicken farmer. So, the idea of Himmler having a hard time killing chickens due to what a bloody mess (and therefore making him fail as a chicken farmer somewhat) came to mind.
But, anyway, now to get to the actual comic -- This reads the American way, and I numbered the panels to the side to show the order in which you read it. I had a lot of fun drawing this! I especially like Margarete and Himmler's expressions in the third panel, and the fifth is epic win.    Yes, his wife literally throws the chicken at his face!
Not to be mean, but I think that Margarete was scary, and a cow. She just is not attractive at all! She was also divorced and seven years older than Himmler when they first met. I know she has blonde hair and blue eyes but, honestly, couldn't Himmler have chosen a more appealing woman? And to think that they had a KID together!
No! Not the cute puppy eyes!! Who can resist that look???    Well, it obviously didn't work on Himmler very long . . .】

Just some crazy idea I got last night around 1am when I couldn't sleep . . . I did the pencil drawing last night, then inked and colored it today. I swear, I've been watching too many programs about World War 2 . . .    Me and my family should be getting the German film "Downfall" from Netflix after we turn in the current movie we have. I've seen that movie before, but it's so good I gotta see it again! Though, we really should buy it . . . They have it for $10 at Target.
And for those of you who do not know what "Downfall" is about, basically it is a German film about the last 12 days of Hitler's life, so it chronicles what was going on in the Fuhrerbunker at the end of the war. And yes, it ends with everyone killing themselves and the Soviets storming Berlin. It's pretty intense and rated "R" and all in German with English subtitles.】

I really had fun with these two drawings!
The first is of Heinrich Himmler not feeling all that great during a visit to a "camp". There are reports of him becoming ill or fainting at the sight of blood and killings. And, yes, the SS officer standing beside him looking all apprehensive is, indeed, Reinhard Heydrich, though it is difficult to tell in chibi-form.
The second, well . . . How could I NOT continue poking fun at Goebbels? He makes a great cartoon character, with his odd features and shortness! And to emphasize his awkwardness, I drew him as a super-deformed chibi!    Man, he looks P-O'd! "@!?*! I AM NOT SHORT!"    I do have to say that I think that this Goebbels chibi is one of the best chibis I have drawn so far! I just love the exaggerated proportions and how compact he looks! I should try drawing this style of chibi MORE!
I drew both of these VERY late last night when I wasn't feeling all that great . . .

【Tell a lie】
【作者自述：I'll say it straight up: This whole comic is a lie. Back in the days of the German Third Reich, there was a rumor going around that actor Gustav Frohlich dealt Nazi propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels a slap to the face after seeing him and Gustav's beloved, Lida Baarova, together in front of Goebbels house, sharing a warm embrace . . . perhaps too warm. However, the truth is much more interesting! After witnessing the act, Gustav later pulled Baarova out of her car and slapped HER! But, it's no lie that Goebbels and Baarova were having an affair that nearly destroyed Goebbels and Magda's marriage.
Okay, on to the comic! Lol, I had too much fun! Though, I think I messed up with the position of the driver's seat in Gustav's car . . . I really was not sure if German cars have their driver's seat on the right or left. If it's wrong, I apologize! But, lol, it's awesome that Goebbels was notorious for lying all the time, and then here he comes up with the most simple, overdone excuse EVER! "I slipped in the bathroom."
Oh, and if you can't read the numbers beside the panels, it reads left-to-right, with the top two panels being the first two that you read.】

First off, please ignore the weird positioning of the images. My sketchbook paper is larger than the scanner bed, so some art tends to get cropped . . . >_<
Anyway, just a random idea I got a few days ago involving Heinrich Himmler and Joseph Goebbels. In my own little mind, I like to have Himmler and Goebbels be enemies, perhaps because they were both high up on the "food chain". And I thought it'd be hilarious to have these two full-grown adult men spewing insults at each other.
And, yeah, Goebbels wins. Nothing can beat Himmler's lederhosen.    】
